Why flat fees instead of hourly?
Hourly billing creates anxiety and unpredictable costs. A flat fee means you know your total before you begin, so you can focus on your family instead of the meter.
What is included in the fee?
Your secure intake portal, your live video mediation sessions, drafting of your Marital Settlement Agreement, and filing your uncontested divorce with the New York Supreme Court. The Family package adds a parenting plan and CSSA child-support calculation.
Are court filing fees included?
New York court filing fees are paid directly to the court and are separate from the mediation fee. I will tell you the exact current amounts during your consultation.
Do we each need our own lawyer?
No — but it is recommended. As a neutral mediator I represent neither of you. I encourage each spouse to have the final agreement reviewed by independent counsel before signing.
What if our situation is complicated?
The Complex package covers business interests, multiple properties, and pensions. The final price is set after your consultation so it reflects your actual needs.
